As I was choosing words and images to share and I open up about my healing work, I picked this one out as my Facebook Page profile picture and I have been reflecting on why it resonated with me so strongly.
For many years, I have referred to my "signposts", those people and experiences that resonate with my spirit and soul and keep me on track as I evolve and grow. I have even linked the words of one teacher, back to another and said, "yep, what so and so said, in different words." When the words align they keep me headed in the right direction. That is not to say that I haven't found dead ends, but it seems to keep me from veering too far off my path and maintaining my bearing when I do. All of a sudden I stop, listen and internally I say, "that's not right, where did I veer off?"
Now I am focusing on the individual stones under my feet, that have made up my path. The practices, the experiences and the understanding I have gained. Each has provided a sturdy foundation for me to recognize my own calling and to step into that power and responsibility. Sometimes spirit has taken a stone and tapped me in an effort to remind me of what I am here to do. Fortunately they haven't had to do that as often, as we have become more clear in our communication and I have become more aware of the importance of the work. I don't always know what has made up each stone, but there are some core elements that have become part of my personal practices that have become key to my path. I believe that my path is now opening up to share these key practices and also to help you find the practices you already know and use them to strengthen your own journey. Not all stones resonate with every path...some fit at different points or have different effects or even a different purpose.
Thank you for joining with me, as we explore the stones and see how they help your journey evolve.
